Postcard from Tumbes

Isn't this lovely?  We went to Tumbes from our hotel at Punta Sal and had a great day.  Here are some more photos:
And this:
And then we went to the Tumbes National Mangrove Sanctuary at Mancora and took a boat:
Now some birds:
And a heron:
Once again, I can't find the rest  of the photos which is very frustrating.  Why do computers do this?

Then we returned to Punta Sal.

And the next day we planned to return to Trujillo but we got stuck - thanks to a strike and road block by transport workers - so we got to stay on this breach paradise for another couple of days.

We walked into the village and enjoyed this beautiful lobster:
And here are some more photos of the lovely beach:
The northern Beaches really are not to be missed.  On our website, we'll be covering Vichayito and Piura and giving more information on the whole area.

At the moment I just think I should say that there's sunshine all year round, being hot during the day and cool at night.
