Since the Inca Empire this has been the most important thermal spa in the north of Peru, and an important tourist destination. Indeed, as mentioned in yesterday's blog, Atahualpa, the emperor, was there when the Spanish invaded. Now we go inside:

We actually used inside baths as they're more private and I bought some very floppy swimming trunks to use. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation and really felt invigorated after this experience. Interestingly, we've been to Bath many times but have never been to the spa there.
I really would recommend this. There's no chance of a Spanish invasion now!
